working together
I like to work with people who:
- Don't crowd the ball.
- DO offer unsolicited advice but with care and sensitivity.
- Work complimentary with the group.
- Are creative yet practical.
- Avoid inefficiency.
- Own their thoughts
- Polite, direct and open.
- Avoid passive aggressive behavior.
- Trust.
Text and Email conduct.
- Text is a great convenience for near live communication, use as such.
- Email is a great way to thread ongoing collaboration and decision
making for business. Leaves breadcrumbs.
- Email is not a substitute for face to face situations. For example,
when it's more efficient to brainstorm in person with whiteboard.
- No flaming. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't say it
at all.
- Avoid essays and diatribes, and hold the rant.
- Humor is good, use emoticons when sarcastic.
- Respond to threaded emails within same subject.
